Team Levels

Office of Emergency Preparednes (OEP) requirements for designation of the three DMAT readiness/capabilities levels.

Level 1

DMATs that are fully deployable within 8 hours of notification and are self-sufficient for 72 hours. They are deployed with standardized equipment and supply sets to treat up to 250 patients per day.

Level Two

Not required to be self-sufficient. May be deployed independently if sufficient local resources exist or supplement a Level One team.

Level Three

DMATs under development.
